Why Mt. Simon Park Matters
Mt. Simon Park is an important gathering place for our neighborhood and the broader Eau Claire community. It is a place where families, kids, hikers, disc golfers, picnic groups, volleyball players, and neighbors come together throughout the year.
What the park offers
- Playground space for kids
- Pavilion area for gatherings
- Trails for walking and exploring
- Places for picnics, games, and community time
Why this project matters
Our primary fundraising priority is the development of a new public bathroom near the park’s recently improved playground area. Additional needs include a pavilion that could provide shelter and gathering space for families and community events.
The Fundraising Goal
Our goal is to raise $70,000 for the Mt. Simon Park restroom project and related Upper Mt. Simon improvements.
Donate to the restroom projectThis is a big goal, but it is one we can reach together. Big projects happen when a lot of people decide to help a little.
Every donation helps. Whether it is $5, $25, $50, or more, each gift moves this project forward.
Live Music Lineup
Music Spotlight
We’re bringing a little something for everyone: electronic energy from ECedm, soulful sounds from Woodzen, and a full-force rock set from ValleyKil to close out the day.
ValleyKil
ValleyKil is an Eau Claire based Midwest grunge band known for original music, loud guitars, and a strong local following.
They bring the kind of sound that fits a park event well: energetic, local, and unpolished in the right way. We’re glad to have them at Party for the Parks as part of a day built around music, community, and supporting Mt. Simon Park.

Woodzen
We’re excited to have Woodzen joining us for Party for the Parks.
Woodzen brings a sound that is hard to pin down in the best possible way. Their music blends funk grooves, jazzy saxophone, blistering guitars, ethereal keyboards, and shimmering vocal harmonies into something that feels loose, lively, and completely their own.
They’ve been compared to bands like The Grateful Dead, The Wallflowers, and The War on Drugs, but Woodzen has a personality all its own. Call it psychedelic country. Call it a jam band that is not really a jam band. Or better yet, come hear them for yourself.
Catch Woodzen at Mt. Simon Park as we celebrate local music, local parks, and the community coming together to support the Party for the Parks fundraiser.

ECedm featuring Doktor and SilverC
Party for the Parks will include a set from ECedm, featuring Doktor and SilverC.
ECedm is known for bringing fun, safe electronic music events to the Eau Claire area and the broader Midwest. Their work helps create welcoming spaces for people to gather, dance, and connect through music.
Doktor and SilverC will bring that energy to Mt. Simon Park as part of a lineup that moves from electronic music to live band performances throughout the day.
It’s another reason to come out, stay awhile, and be part of a community event supporting the Mt. Simon restroom project.

Mt. Simon Classic Disc Golf Fundraiser
The Mt. Simon Classic will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Mt. Simon Park with an 11:00 AM shotgun start. Players will be randomly assigned to cards and will play 18 holes.
Entry is $20 per player.
Registration details will be posted soon, including a Disc Golf Scene link. We’ll also welcome same-day registration at the park if spots are still available.
A $270 guaranteed cash prize pool will be awarded to the top three finishers. We’ll also have CTP prizes, including limited edition discs.
We are still accepting hole sponsors and prize donations for the disc golf event. Hole sponsorships are $30. If you’re interested in sponsoring a hole or donating a prize, please message the Northside Hill Neighborhood Association Facebook page.
This is a community fundraiser first, and a disc golf tournament second. Come out for a fun round at Mt. Simon, chase a few prizes, and help support a project that will make the park better for everyone.
All proceeds support the effort to build a restroom near the Upper Mt. Simon playground and pavilion area.
Throw discs. Build a bathroom.
